    hello coach Krychev,

keep up with this very interesting blog and site.

I’m a young powerlifting coach, i’m trying to use (probably i’m the first) the Ivan Abadjiev Method for powerlifting (competition with Squat, Bench press and Deadlift.

I’d like to have an help from a qualified Bulgarian coach to better design my workout.

For exemple: do you think that for this kind of strength exercise I need to put on some changes in intensity and number of reps?
I should go 6 days a week bench press near max, squat near max?

Any suggestion to design it would be very very very appreciate.

    Ado,
If you would like to adapt coach Abadjiev’s training method, your weekly regimen will look something like this
six times a week squats in the morning and afternoon workouts for total of twelve squats. Morning squats should be near max, with two to three sets of doubles on 90%. Afternoon squats are always max. The same should be apply for the bench press. Under coach Abadjiev’s system, lifters should not do more than two reps in a set. This regimen is very difficult but very effective. Your body will be very sore in the beginning. It will take one to two months for you to adapt to it. You also, will need to take supplements for recovery. Our Podium Gold is widely used from lifters using coach Abadjiev’s system.
Hope this will help improve your results.
    Coach Krychev
